salsa dancing lessons in Xalapa?

7th February 2010

I’m currently living in Xalapa, Mexico. My friends & I really want to learn how to salsa dance but don’t know where lessons are offered. Does anyone know of any places?

thanks!

I’ve heard that good salsa lessons are given in Barlovento, every Saturday, from 8-10 p.m., you might want to try to check that out.
Also, there are teachers who offer lessons in small dance schools. If you need any specific info, you can e-mail me.
Welcome to Xalapa, and have a nice stay!!!

Hey I lived in Xalapa last year and you can go to Barlovento (salsa club, just go in a taxi)….it is a salsa club and I know that they have dancers that dance with people…I am not positive on official lessons, but you could learn there. OR you could ask the Escuela para Estudiantes Extranjeros if they know where salsa lessons are offered because many foreign students like to learn salsa. That school is in the centro on Zamora street and Barovento is near la zona Acarias (spelling) near the big green X statue.
