A girl at work wants to do salsa lessons, she needs a partner, and asked me, i said no. but is there something about me that seems inducive to wanting to salsa with? Ladies, if you wanted to salsa, and needed a partner, what kind of a person would you look for.

Haha.. the way I tried to ask out my crush the first time, was salsa dancing. He didn’t want to, he made up an excuse that he wouldn’t be in town but ended up coming to the salsa performance anyways (later he told me he was too shy).
We’re still together, 5 years later!

For me, it was a way in … it could be that with the girl who asked you? Maybe she has a crush on you but is just too afraid to ask you on a real date.

This salsa video lesson combines 5 ways to lead one of the most important transition moves in salsa – the CBL. There are of course even more ways to style this move, which we will look at in other lessons. If you think about it, this is only one move but really it adds 5 cool moves to your salsa vocabulary. Timing in salsa dancing is probably one of the most if not THE most important thing. I realized that I haven’t done a lesson on how to find that “one” when we dance salsa on 1, so even though I should have done this lesson in the beginning I thought better now than never. Watch this video carefully and practice finding the “one” in the music because remember: you may know all the moves in the world but without good timing (especially for you leads), your partner won’t enjoy dancing with you!
